After a career of over 40 years as an academic psychologist, I started a new career as a public historian of Chinese American history that led to five Yin & Yang Press books and over 100 book talks about the lives of early Chinese immigrants and their families operating laundries, restaurants, and grocery stores. Chi-Am Circle, Cupertino, Aug. 21, 2007

      
     I had the opportunity to give a dinner talk about Southern Fried Rice to an appreciative audience of about 60 members and guests of the Chi-Am Circle, at a Chinese restaurant in Cupertino in 2007, which included my two sisters and several long-time friends from college days.
